4G LTE Signal Present For The Rural Area
Alor - Minister of Communications and Informatics, Mr. Rudiantara and Alor Regent, Amon Djobo and representatives from BP3TI and Metrasat, visited Tude Village, Pantar Tengah Subdistrict, Alor District, which is part of the Integrated Broadband Village program. The visit was conducted in connection with the inauguration of the establishment of 4G LTE signal in Tude Village. Tude village is part of the second largest island in Alor District and there is no signal or internet access in this area, through the Integrated Broadband Village program the government is trying to overcome the gaps in Tude Village.
"Hopefully the student who are now still in elementary, junior high and high school because there is already internet access can be ready to face an increasingly competitive world. This is because the competition is not only between islands, now it is between countries, "said Rudiantara when giving a speech.
The inauguration was also conducted with a video conference with Chief of Staff President Teten Masduki and Minister of Maritime Susi Pudjiastuti who was in the State Palace, Jakarta. This activity was held on August 18, 2017 one day after the 72nd Indonesia Independence Day celebration.
"In addition to providing internet access devices, there is also providing 50 smart phones along with sim card and 200 units of power bank to citizens to support surfing activities in cyberspace and social media," said Rudiantara.
This activity is held so that the entire community of Tude village and surrounding areas can access information globally both domestically and abroad to help the village progress and co-coordinate with other villages to the government.
